Our People

           James Pullar

James has over 30 years experience in the energy industry during which time he held senior executive positions in AGL, Woodside and Mobil. His experience includes major resource contract negotiation, infrastructure business acquisitions, mergers and development, project management and strategic planning. James also has experience as a Director of energy infrastructure and retail businesses in Australia and New Zealand as well as a member of the council of two energy industry associations. With extensive experience in all sectors of the energy industry value chain James is able to provide strategic advice, project leadership and business development services.

           John Huitfeldt

John has over 25 years experience in the energy industry during which time he has held marketing, operational and financial roles at Shell and Gas & Fuel, and was appointed Chief Operating Officer at Gas & Fuel. John has provided general management consultancy services to energy companies, government bodies and industry service providers. His speciality areas are marketing, customer service, demand projections, economic evaluation and efficiency studies. In 1997 John started Customer Service Benchmarking Australia, an independent research-based consultancy group specialising in assessing the performance of call centres.

   Ed Teoh

Ed has over 25 years experience in the energy industry holding senior executive positions in Gas & Fuel and Westar and providing management consulting services to government and major consulting firms. His experience includes providing advice on regulatory reforms, asset management, business re-engineering, metering practices, operational and risk management and strategic and operational management. Ed has been involved in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and privatisation of the gas industry, outsourcing and negotiation of major contracts, developing asset strategies, establishing new businesses and managing major gas emergencies.

         Kevin Joyce

Kevin has over 20 years Australian and international experience in the energy industry holding senior executive positions in Gas & Fuel and Origin Energy and providing energy management, sales and marketing services. His experience includes marketing strategy and pricing development for large contestable gas and electricity customers, retail management of large gas and electricity customers and deregulation of the Victorian gas industry.

               Malcolm Young

Malcolm has over 30 years experience in the gas industry, holding senior executive positions in Gas & Fuel and providing energy consulting and project management services. His experience includes operational and strategic gas distribution asset management, total cost reviews, outsourcing and contract negotiation, technical regulation, appliance installation and maintenance, emergency response centre management, involvement in gas industry reform, engineering due diligence for acquisitions and new developments, asset management advice, natural gas extensions to new areas, product safety recall management and technical audits.

            Maurice Joyce

Maurice has extensive economic, commercial and financial management experience in Australia, Asia and North America. He has worked at the World Bank, Washington D.C., responsible for industrial financing in S.E.Asia. He also held senior executive positions at Comalco Limited, the aluminium arm of Rio Tinto. Roles at Comalco included project evaluation and acquisition, negotiation, financing and management in Australia and internationally.  After leaving Comalco, he was appointed a Commissioner of the Australian Industry Commission. Subsequently, he has undertaken several interim executive and consulting roles, including coordinating the privatisation of Southern Hydro, the hydro-electricity arm of the Victorian State Electricity Commission and Energy 21/Stratus Networks, part of the Gas and Fuel.
